Welcome to the Graduate Orthodontics Clinic

Welcome to the Graduate Orthodontics Clinic, at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto.

The Graduate Orthodontics Clinic specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, management, and correction of mal-positioned teeth and jaws, and misaligned bite patterns. We help straighten your teeth so that they look and work better through braces or other appliances.

How to book an appointment

If you are a new patient, please visit the general patient information overview page.

Adolescent patients (10-17 years old)

*Please note that due to high volumes of patients, there can be up to a two year wait for your first appointment*

  • Step 1. Call 416-864-8293 to get added to the Undergrad ortho screening waitlist for your first screening. (This screening will occur at Clinic 1 or Clinic 7 depending on availability.)
  • Step 2.  After you complete your undergrad ortho screening, your name will then be put on the Graduate ortho screening waitlist. If approved, you will be referred to the Graduate orthodontics department. If not approved, it will be suggested that you seek treatment in a private clinic.
  • Step 3. During your Graduate ortho screening appointment your care team will determine whether you are eligible to be accepted into the Graduate orthodontics program. Information regarding fees for the program will be provided to you at this appointment.
If you are not suitable for the program, your care team will advise you on seeking treatment at a private dental practice.
  • Step 4. Once you are selected for the Graduate orthodontics program, you will be booked for a records appointment. During this visit your care team would go through the Clinic’s policies, your treatment plan, treatment fees, and assign you to a resident.
  • Step 5. Once you are assigned to a resident, your treatment in the Orthodontic program will consist of multiple appointments. Typically, you will be required to come in every four to six weeks for treatment.
