Welcome to the Graduate Prosthodontics Clinic

Welcome to the Graduate Prosthodontics Clinic, at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. 

The Graduate Prosthodontics Clinic specializes in restoring patients’ oral health and missing teeth using dental prostheses. We offer different services, including: 

  • Dental implants 

  • Crowns and bridges (natural dentition or implant supported) 

  • Veneers 

  • Ridge augmentation 

  • TMJ/TMD issues  

  • Dentures 

  • Implant supported dentures 

  • All-on-four dental implants 

  • Increase vertical dimension of occlusion 


 

How to book an appointment: 

Existing patients at the Faculty of Dentistry: 

Step 1. If you are already a patient at another dental clinic at the Faculty of Dentistry, your primary provider can refer you to the Graduate Prosthodontics clinic.
*Please note that depending on the volume of cases, the waitlist can be approximately 2-3 months.*

Step 2. Once we receive a referral, if you are suitable for treatment, our receptionist will call you to schedule a new patient examination. During this appointment, the resident will become your healthcare provider in our clinic and will do a complete examination to check the supporting structures around your teeth. It is important to remember that each patient's condition varies. Depending on your needs, your provider will suggest a treatment plan.   

New patients: 

If you are new patient to the Faculty of Dentistry dental clinics, please review our general patient information overview. 

Step 1. If you are a new patient, you will need a referral from your dentist to be seen at the Graduate Prosthodontics Clinic.  

Your dentist’s office will need to complete our referral form and submit it through our secure digital portal. Alternatively, your dentist’s office can fax the form to (416)979-4769.

Step 2. Once we receive a referral, if you are suitable for treatment, our receptionist will call you to schedule a new patient examination with one of our resident's dentists, for a new patient examination. During this appointment, the resident will become your healthcare provider in our clinic and will do a complete examination to check the supporting structures around your teeth. It is important to remember that each patient's condition varies. Depending on your needs, your provider will suggest a treatment plan.   

Cost: 

Please note that there is a cost associated with your treatment. Your provider will discuss the cost of your treatment with you during presentation of your treatment plan. 

We accept debit, credit cards, personal cheques and money orders as methods of payment. We also offer payment plans. 

Coverage: 

Private insurance: Please note that the Faculty does not accept direct payment from private insurance companies. Patients are required to pay for treatment rendered and will be provided documentation that can be submitted for reimbursement.

Rescheduling or cancelling your appointment: 

Please note that if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, we require 2 business days’ notice. Please call reception at (416) 864-8310 or contact the resident assigned to you directly. 
 
If you do not give us adequate notice, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $69.00. 

Hours of operation: 

We are open Monday-Friday, hours vary, please call to confirm hours. 

*Please note that we have reduced hours in the summer months of July and August. *
